DIABETIC AWARENESS CAMP

The Nelspruit lions Club have an annual diabetic awareness camp This year the day-camp will take place on the 26 March 2011. The Lions invite all children between the ages of 7 and 14 to attend this camp.

 

The Aim of the Camp

The aim is to teach the children that they can live a normal life. They are taught the importance of controlling their diabetes by the correct use and dosage of insulin. How to exercise and most importantly they are shown how to eat correctly. The Lions have always used the  services of suitable qualified professionals for the training of the children.

 

Who can Attend?

All children between the ages of 7 and 14 and who are insulin dependant diabetics can attend. The children should reside in Nelspruit and surrounding area, as the camp will be held near to the city. Space is limited and it is essential to complete a registration form.
